Let us explain the different printing processes that are available through Storm media.
Screen Printed DVD Discs
Screen printing is the traditional method for disc surface printing and has been used to print on DVDs for many years now. Due to the simplicity of this process, a wide variety of different inks and dyes are available, allowing for effects that aren’t possible with other printing methods. Screen printing is renowned for giving rich, vibrant colour results and is ideal for solid colours.
Offset Printed DVD Discs
Offset printed DVDs give exceptional results. This method of printing uses the CMYK process, giving your design a high quality print finish, similar to a digital print. Offset printing is of a much higher resolution than screen print, but is more costly to setup than a digital print
Digital UV LED Printed DVD Discs
Digital disc printing is now the preferred technique by a the majority of our CD and DVD clients, mainly because it is cost effective and achieves exceptional results. This method of printing gives you a print quality close to that of a photograph. Digital printing is of a much higher resolution than screen print, allowing your design to contain much more detailed images. We can supply you with a Glossy or Matt finish.
Do not worry - We will recommend the best printing option according to the quantities required and artwork supplied.
